Fort Fisher Aquarium

Have you discovered NC's Fort Fisher Aquarium yet? The drive there takes over an hour, but it's scenic and worth the effort. Drive up Highway 17 north, at Highway 211 turn right and drive approximately 20 minutes to the historic town of Southport. Take the ferry to Kure Beach and look for sign to the Aquarium. Maybe you'll try a salt-march kayak cruise, too. Tour the aquarium and see the sights. For information call 910.458.8257.
