Some audience members of Good Vibrations refer to this show as a "virtual tour of the '60's, '70's, and '80's," and that is close. This Calvin Gilmore production certainly celebrates the identity of the "baby boom" generation, combining the best of the era's song, dance, and comedy examples into a 2-hour show. The production features the cast of The Carolina Opry in a fully-packed, high-energy presentation of color, light, and plenty of movement so typical of that time period, Good Vibrations switches from one form of entertainment to another, all easily recognizable to "kids" in the 30-60+ crowd, but entertaining for all ages, and in fact the producers make sure that the show changes and updates all the time, and also in tune with our beach environment. Songs such as "Surfer Girl" and "California Girl" draw upon memories of The Beach Boys and other beach-themed entities of that era.
