This was my first visit back to Myrtle Beach in about 15 years and the Avista was an excellent property for my vacation. The pool, the room, the DJs as well as the fantastic bands that played on Saturday were fabulous! I would most definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it highly to any of my friends/business partners. Even the smoke from the nearby brush fire couldn't dampen the fun we had!! This was our second stay at Avista Resort, and both stays have been fantastic. Rooms were great, pools were great. This is where we will stay every time we come to Myrtle Beach. I especially liked the clerk that checked us in. I think her name was Angela. She was very polite and efficient. She even spoke with my children just to make them feel welcome. I travel from Omaha, NE, for the activities @ Mayfest. This is the second year I have attended and stayed at the Avista. I could go on and on about the staff at the Avista. The nice lady that checked me in this year was the same as last [year] and remembered me by name! Out of all the customers in and out of the resort in a years' time, how many places can a person go to get that treatment? I always reserve the 3-bedroom corner DLX room, although by myself, both times, the room has been spotless and no complaints from me. The employees at Just off Main were just as pleasant and also called me by name. Also, the food was cooked to perfection and service was best in all my travels.

Note to All Employees: Keep up the wonderful work!

Closing note to people wishing to stay in North Myrtle Beach: Don't bother looking around. Save your time and money and stay at the Avista! They Are the BEST!

Will be back in 2010. Besides the super job done by the planners for "Mayfest," the Avista alone would bring me back. Absolutely love it!!!
