The Green Swamp

In North Carolina, Brunswick County's Green Swamp nature preserve offers us respite from our life's struggles, an economically self-sustaining part of our area's attractions and amusements. There, fishing, hunting, and wildlife-watching generate money that is turned back to the park for maintenance and public education. For eco-tourists, catching a glimpse of a Venus fly trap plant or fox can be more rewarding than catching the latest film at a theater.

On February 7th, at 6:30 PM, many streets in the U. S. will be deserted while people settle into their favorite viewing area for the 2010 Super Bowl game between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. The eye-catching TV commercials are warmed up, and the half-time show by The Who has been well-rehearsed. While betting is leaning to the Saints, either team could win with nothing certain until the game ends.
