  Hotel News

April Entertainment at the Avista!
The Avista will be alive with the sound of music the month April. When the SOS Shaggers begin arriving April 20th, they bring with them some of the best beach music around and we are proud to offer some of these artists and DJ's on site at the Avista. For 3 days during SOS we will be having "The Fireman", a popular Shag DJ from the Charlotte, NC area. On the 28th, we are hosting a CD release party for Tony Baker and the Poor Souls, The Carousels and The Outsiders on our pool deck from 3-7pm!

The Easter Bunny is coming to town!
The Easter Bunny is hopping her way back to the Avista, Sunday April 8th for lots of Easter fun and games. You may remember that the Easter Bunny was slightly traumatized last year by a "screamer" and the debauchery that was the Easter Egg Hunt. However, she's had a whole year to recover and has agreed to come back! She will be handing out Easter candy in lobby, speaking about the importance of carrots in ones diet and will once again be hosting a coloring contest with prizes! Make sure to ask at check-in what time the Easter Bunny is expected to arrive!

What's New?

Let Lowe's do the shopping!
Wouldn't it be nice to arrive for your vacation and have your room stocked with all the groceries you will need for you stay? No trying to figure out where the closest grocery store is, no waiting in the long checkout lines that plague the stores day and night. Just arrive at the resort, unpack the car and head to the pool. Sounds great, but surely something like this in Myrtle Beach is just a dream. Not any more! The newly built Lowes Foods store in Little River offers online grocery shopping, curbside grocery pick up and delivery (for a small fee.) What is even greater is that if you have not checked in to your room yet, they will put the groceries away for you! If you would like more information about this wonderful service, visit www.lowesfoodstogo.com.

This team, a minor league team for the Atlanta Braves, has been playing on the beach since 1999 and has provided a great family atmosphere at an affordable price. The first game of the season is April 5th against the Wilmington Blue Rocks and tickets start as low as $7 a piece. NMB Annual Easter Egg Hunt
It looks as if the Easter Bunny will be taking time out of its busy basket delivery schedule to attend the Annual NMB Easter Egg Hunt at McLean Park on April 7th. Beginning at 10am, hunting areas will be set up for the following age groups: 2 & under, 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-11 years and, for what promises to be the ultra-competitive age group, 12 and above. GUEST COMMENTS
Here's what our guests are saying about us...

During our stay at Avista our family were treated very well. The front desk was knowledgable and helpful when we called to obtain local information. The restaurant was a joy across the board! Our suite was very comfortable and well kept. The pool area was fun and safe. Parking was an easy walk away with a drive up available for dropping off guests who didn't want to walk. My husband had just returned from deployment for a short vacation before going back and your property and personnel made our long weekend a complete joy!! We could have never left the hotel and enjoyed our stay in North Myrtle Beach immensely Thank You for making our family reunion so relaxing and fun! Alisa Teal - Hope Mills, NC

We had the romance package and it was great. We and my parents have stayed here in the past and every stay has been GREAT! Keep up the good work. Alan Walden - Florence, SC

We really enjoyed the golf that abbey had arranged for us. She even came out and saw us tee off. All the staff was so great. I have already emailed many of my friends and told them of the beautiful condo and what pride you take in keeping everything clean and tidy. We always enjoyed chatting with the man at the ground entrance on the south tower. He always said it was cold. He should come up here to Canada and he would know cold. Thank you again for everything...Margaret/Ed Neudorf - St. Catherines, ON
