News from the Beach
Ever been to the beach during the winter? For those of you who haven’t, there’s a whole population of folks here who enjoy themselves immensely – all winter long. They’re called Snowbirds. They are here, keeping the lights on for you – shopping, going to shows, going out to eat – and enjoying this winter’s unseasonably mild weather!
Some snowbirds come down in October and stay until May – escaping the inclement weather of their hometowns. Others may only come for a month or so. Either way, lots of local attractions and eateries offer specials for snowbirds – from Rioz Sunday buffet (Regularly $35, now a paltry $17.95) to the many fixed price menus and attractions like Frank Theatre in Murrells Inlet where $24.95 can get you a dinner and movie for 2.
So, if you decide to escape the ordinary and come live with us at the beach this winter, don’t forget to talk to our front desk agents – we also offer many discounted excursions, activities and meals in our restaurants. See you here!
