The "Ocean Drive" Pavilion in North Myrtle Beach

The new OD Pavilion of '09 has closed for the season, rides folded and concessions gone, but it returns in the summer of 2010 for more fun on the beach. The original OD Pavilion opened in 1926 to promote development of the coastal area ($10 each for 2 lots). It included a huge wrap-around porch, bath houses, and a huge exhibition area where in 1928 entertainment was added to amuse the hotel guests and passers-by.
