What time is check-in?
Check-in starts at 4:00 PM.
What can we do if we arrive before check-in time?
If you arrive early and the unit is not ready, the front desk will provide parking passes and pool wristbands so you may enjoy our amenities until your room becomes available.
What time is check-out?
Check-out time is at 11:00 AM.
Why aren't the check-in time and check-out time at the same time?
In order to ensure that guests will have well-cleaned and sanitized condominium units, we require time between the last departure and the next arrival to perform cleaning services.
What forms of payment are accepted at check-in?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and contactless payments made with Apple Pay or Google Pay. If paying cash, a $100 refundable cash deposit or credit card authorization is required at check-in.
Are you pet friendly?
Pets are not permitted. Please visit www.coastalpawspetresort.com for information on boarding.
What are your policies for traveling with a service animal?
Service animals are always welcome. If you are traveling with a service animal, please review our Service Animal Policies and complete and return our Service Animal Questionnaire prior to checking in at the resort.
What is the age requirement to check-in?
Guests staying must be 23 years or older unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
Do you rent to locals?
We do! Local residents of Horry County SC, Georgetown County SC, Columbus County NC, and Brunswick NC are welcome. A $250 refundable cash security deposit is required at check-in. *Unit types ADXNS and G1DXNS are not eligible for local rentals.
Can someone else pay for the room and do I need to bring their credit card?
We would need a credit card authorization form to be filled out and returned with a copy of the front and back of their driver's license. Click here to download our Credit Card Authorization Form.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy varies by rate type and travel season. Please reference your confirmation email for the applicable policy.
What is your music and noise policy?
Avista Resort strictly prohibits loud, profane, and/or offensive noises upon the Resort's premises. This policy is intended to be more restrictive than the existing municipal Noise Ordinances already enforced by law enforcement. The Resort desires to keep and maintain a peaceful, enjoyable environment for all guests of the Resort.
The Resort strictly prohibits guests from playing music, videos, and other forms of meida which are offensive to other guests, whether due to loud volume, excessive bass, or explicit conent (profane language, sexual content, and the like). Any and all noise originating from a guest's room, including the room's balcony, must not be audible from outside the room or balcony. Any and all noise originating from a guest's vehicle must not be audible from outside the vehicle. No music, videos, and other forms of media may be played by a guest within the Resort's common areas unless the guest is using headphones or earbuds.
Violation of this policy will result in corrective action, up to and including removal from the resort's premises. By booking a room at the Resort, the guest acknowledges this policy and agrees to be bound by its terms.
Is WiFi available and is there a charge?
Complimentary WiFi is available in your room and throughout the resort.
What is the difference between oceanfront and ocean view?
What appliances and serving utensils are in the kitchen?
Your condo's fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, and a regular drip coffee maker. Pots, pans, mixing bowls, serving bowls, cooking utensils, eating utensils, drinking cups, plates, coffee cups, and saucers are provided. Paper products are not provided.
Are linens and towels provided?
Each guest receives a supply of clean linens and towels in the unit. The housekeeping policy is to replace used linens and towels with fresh ones if a guest stays four days or more. Linens and towels include bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, bath rugs, bed sheets, blankets, pillows, bedspreads, mattress pads, and shower curtains. A dishtowel is provided in the kitchen.
Does Avista Resort have laundry facilities?
Yes! There is a coin-operated guest laundry facility on the fourth floor across from the fitness center. Washers and dryers are an optional amenity in most of the units.
Should I bring an ironing board?
There is no need to bring an ironing board and iron with you to the beach. The unit is either equipped with ironing equipment or you may request the equipment when you make your reservation, check-in, or during your stay.
Do you provide pool towels or beach towels?
The resort provides pool towels at the pool. Pool towels are not to be taken to the beach, and we do not provide beach towels.
Do you provide beach umbrellas or beach chairs?
The resort does not provide beach umbrellas or chairs, however, they are available to rent during the summer season from beach services. For information and pricing, please click here.
Does the property allow smoking on the premises?
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in any balcony or pool area or non-smoking unit. A per incident cleaning fee of $250 plus tax will be charged.
Are the pools heated?
Our indoor pool and lazy river are heated year-round. The outdoor pools and lazy rivers are not heated.
Can I cook on my balcony?
No cooking, grilling, or barbecuing is allowed on the balconies at any time. Anyone found violating this safety ruling may be fined by the City of North Myrtle Beach as well as the resort.
Can I fly my drone at the resort?
Launching, landing, or operating unmanned or remote control drones on resort property is prohibited.
How can I secure my valuables in my unit while I am a guest at Avista Resort?
Avista Resort's condominiums are equipped with a safe. Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items while staying at the resort or parking garage. Please make sure that upon vacating your unit you have thoroughly checked for any misplaced items.
Whom do I contact if I lose an item?
Please contact the front desk who will take down your information. We will be happy to send things you have left behind; the shipping will be at your cost.
Do you welcome children at Avista Resort?
Absolutely, children are encouraged. During the summer months, we offer a wide variety of activities and adventures around the pool areas and property. We also offer many discounts to the area's attractions that are specifically interesting to children of all ages. Our suites are well suited to children because of their architectural designs, allowing children a wonderful and safe view from the windows, plenty of space to roam in the units, and interesting places to play around the property and on the beach.
Does the resort have a shuttle bus to any attractions or to the airport?
While Avista Resort does not offer its own shuttle service, the front desk agents can tell you about various modes of transportation in the area.
How many parking passes will I receive?
Each 1 bedroom unit will receive 1 parking pass at check-in and each 2 and 3 bedroom unit will receive 2 parking passes at check-in. Additional parking passes are not available. There are no parking pass restrictions for guests staying between October 15, 2020, and March 11, 2021.
Where should we park to check-in?
For your convenience, registration parking is available for check-in and unloading on the ground level of the resort. In the event the complimentary registration parking is full, paid parking provided by the city of North Myrtle Beach is available on the oceanfront lots adjacent to the resort for $2 per hour.
What is the height of your parking garage?
The garage clearance height is 7 feet 2 inches. Oversized vehicles above 7'2" cannot access the parking garage. There is free parking available at a nearby Lowes or paid parking available in a public lot off Main Street.
Can I park a golf cart in the parking garage?
Golf carts are not permitted in the parking garage.
Is there motorcycle parking, bike parking, or trailer parking available at the resort during Harley Bike Weeks or the Atlantic Beach Bike Festival?
Motorcycles are allowed on the first level of our parking garage, located across the street from the hotel. No motorcycles are permitted under the resort. Trailer parking has been designated on the rooftop level of the parking garage. Please note the clearance for the parking garage is 7'2". Read our full Bike Week Policies.
How close is Avista Resort to things to do?
Avista Resort is centrally located in North Myrtle Beach within 30 minutes of most local attractions, shopping, and dining. We are just a couple of blocks from Main Street which boasts numerous restaurants, bars, and attractions.
What time does the beach close, and what are other limitations for use of the beach?

Is there a plastic bag ban in North Myrtle Beach?
Yes! The City of North Myrtle Beach has instituted a single-use plastic bag ban in an effort to keep our area beautiful and eliminate plastics on our beaches, in the ocean and waterways. We recommend bringing reusable bags or totes to use for shopping. Some retailers may have paper bags, boxes, or other alternatives available however this is not guaranteed so plan accordingly and pack your resusable bags when you come on vacation!
How far is Avista Resort from the airport?
Avista Resort is approximately 22 miles north of the Myrtle Beach International Airport.
Which airlines fly into Myrtle Beach?
Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) has eight airline partners to meet your travel needs: Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Porter Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and United Airlines.
Does Avista Resort have an airport shuttle?

Can we have fireworks on the beach?
It is illegal to light and launch fireworks without a permit on the beach in North Myrtle Beach. Click here to view additional beach rules from the City of North Myrtle Beach.
Where is the nearest pier?
The Cherry Grove Pier is less than 2 miles walking distance.
Should I worry about hurricanes at Avista Resort?
Hurricanes are seldom a problem here, but being prepared is the best policy. Avista Resort has a preparedness plan for hurricane season, officially from June 1 to November 30. Any hurricane is a major event and not to be ignored. Both local residents and guests should pay attention to the weather reports and to authorities' directives. Avista Resort tracks hurricanes closely and provides its guests with as much warning as possible. The likelihood of a hurricane here in North Myrtle Beach is minimal, but Avista Resort remains vigilant and ready to implement our plans if need be.
