Avista Resort is set to light up Wednesday nights this summer with the return of our unforgettable Hula Fire Show, beginning in June and running through September. Held right on the oceanfront pool deck, this guest-favorite experience transforms the evening into a vibrant celebration of Polynesian culture against the backdrop of the Atlantic.

Refreshed Spaces for Elevated Stays!

Avista Resort is stepping into the new season with a refreshed and elevated look throughout our shared spaces, designed to make every moment of your stay even more comfortable and inviting.

On the second-floor mezzanine, guests will now find brand-new, light wood furniture replacing the previous seating, bringing a brighter, more modern coastal feel to the space. To add even more flexibility and comfort, we’ve also introduced new single swivel chairs, giving guests more options to relax, gather, or simply take in the views from above the lobby.

Hanging down into the lobby, you’ll notice two new statement chandeliers featuring a wave-inspired design that perfectly complements the oceanfront setting. These upgraded fixtures not only enhance the brightness of the space but also create a more eye-catching and welcoming arrival experience the moment you walk through the doors.

An Unforgettable Easter Celebration at Avista Resort

Easter at Avista Resort was filled with a full week of festive fun, family traditions, and memorable moments by the ocean. From the very start of the holiday week, guests of all ages were invited to join in the celebration with a lively Easter-themed Sip & Paint in our Tree Top Lounge, creating a relaxed and creative way to kick off the festivities.

The excitement continued throughout the weekend with coloring contests, a playful jelly bean guessing game, a resort-wide scavenger hunt, and an exciting Easter egg hunt that brought smiles to children and parents alike across the property. Each activity added to the sense of community and holiday spirit that makes Easter at Avista so special.

The celebration reached its peak on Easter Sunday, beginning with a heartwarming surprise as the Easter Bunny made special deliveries of custom Easter baskets directly to guest rooms, creating unforgettable moments for families and especially for the little ones. The day continued with a beautifully prepared Easter brunch featuring holiday classics alongside creative seasonal favorites. Guests also had the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny, capturing memories that will last long after their stay!

Live Music, Poolside Energy & New Spaces to Gather

Sunny days at Avista Resort are getting even better with an exciting lineup of live entertainment and refreshed outdoor spaces designed to elevate your time by the pool and beach.

All season long, guests can enjoy returning favorite DJ Jay, who has become a staple of our pool deck experience over the past few years. Known for keeping the energy high and the atmosphere fun, DJ Jay will be spinning Thursdays from 11am–4pm, making it the perfect midweek highlight for your stay.

Fridays bring a different vibe as Victoria returns to perform live vocals from 4pm–7pm, moving between the pool deck and Tree Top Lounge. Her performances have quickly become guest favorites, adding a relaxed and memorable soundtrack to golden hour evenings by the ocean.

We’re also excited to welcome DJ Alex A to the lineup, bringing a fresh new sound to Avista’s pool scene every Tuesday from 1pm–5pm. With a mix of upbeat energy and coastal vibes, he’s set to add a new layer to the summer experience.

In addition to our entertainment lineup, guests will also notice new enhancements to our outdoor spaces, including a newly constructed gazebo near the beach access walkway, along with eight additional picnic tables throughout. These updates create more comfortable gathering spots for families and groups while keeping everything conveniently close to the pool bars and resort amenities.

Looking for a relaxed way to spend your Thursday afternoon at Avista Resort? Our weekly Sip & Paint experience at the Tree Top Lounge offers the perfect blend of creativity, conversation, and coastal relaxation.

Every Thursday from 4–6pm, guests are invited to unwind and tap into their artistic side in a laid-back, social setting. We provide everything you need, from canvases to paint, while you bring your own creative vision to life. Each week features a new themed painting, offering something fresh and fun for both returning guests and first-time participants.

With drinks available for purchase and music setting the tone, it’s an easygoing way to enjoy your stay, meet fellow guests, and try something a little different during your time at the beach.
