Prepping for the Future ' 2 Main Questions Answered for Your Next Stay

These past few months have left us, and many of our guests unsure of when our resort or even North Myrtle Beach would be open again. The good news is that Avista Resort is open and is ready for our guests to visit! While there are still some essential measures that need to be kept in place when you visit the Myrtle Beach area, we have answered a few questions that many have been asking us. Lets look at the two main problems that seem to be the important ones to answer.

What is the Cleaning Procedure Now of your Units and Resort?

We at Avista Resort take standards for hygiene and cleanlinessvery seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of ourguests and associates. Daily, we are working to ensure that we meet the latestguidance on hygiene and cleaning. Our resorts health and safety measures were designedto address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and includeeverything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guestrooms and common area cleaning procedures. We have taken specific steps to include:

Associate Health, Safety & Knowledge

Our Resort associates - and their own health, safety, and knowledge are essential to an effective cleaning program. Here are some of the ways that we are supporting them, such as Hand Hygiene, Safety (including all employees to wear gloves and a mask when entering any guest rooms or high interaction areas), and Ongoing Training.

Cleaning Products & Protocols:

We use EPA approved cleaning products and protocols whichare effective against viruses including:

  • Guest Rooms: We use cleaning and disinfectingprotocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives,with particular attention paid to high-touch items. We are waiting at least 24hours after a unit has been vacated to clean and reopen the team for rentals.Housekeeping will provide Door Service for trash/towels and in-room amenitiesas we are practicing social distancing for the safety of our guests and staff.Please place trash and towels outside your room and call the front desk forpick up.
  • PublicSpaces: Our Resort has increased the frequency of cleaning anddisinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk,elevators, and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, and even roomkeys.
  • ResortAmenities: Access to certain amenities, including but not limited toour restaurants, pools, and fitness center, may be limited or restricted inaccordance with state or local government guidelines. Currently, allrestaurants and pools are closed. The fitness center is open with limitedoccupancy.
  • Back ofHouse: In the spaces where associates work behind the scenes, Weare increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas likeassociate entrances, locker rooms, laundry rooms, and staff offices.

What is your Cancellation Policy if I Book Now and, in theFuture, and There are Still Restrictions in Place?

To help you continue to book with confidence, we have instituteda flexible change and cancellation policy for all reservations booked betweennow and June 1, 2020, with travel, dates through August 15, 2020. You maychange your reservation to a future date without incurring a change fee or refundingyour deposit amount, whichever you prefer, as long as you contact us within atleast 72 hours before your arrival. For guests who booked via group sales,online travel agents, or other third parties, we suggest contacting theirbooking provider for information on their policies and for assistance.
